A previous graduate of Oxford’s writing MSt program, Katya got her MFA from Columbia University in 2019. She is working on her first novel “Little foxes took up matches”, a queer coming of age story set in Moscow right after the collapse of the Soviet Union. She is represented by Jin Auh at the Wylie agency.
Katya is interested in translated literature, foreign film, world music and cuisines, as well as queer art and Marxist inquiry. She likes moles, drag queens, walking all over the 5 boroughs with her partner, and her dog Ritoozik’s belly button.
